Cold glue
Electrical and electro-pneumatic cold gluing guns ensure rapid, precise gluing in the shape of dot, line, coating and spray application. Pressure tanks with volume between 1 and 15 l are used for simple and inexpensive glue delivery systems for low viscosity adhesives designed for pressures of up to 6 bar. For higher viscosities adhesives, or for increased glue consumption, 2:1 or 6:1 piston pumps are available with attachments to 30 kg glue tubs.

Controller technology
Baumer hhs glue pattern controllers can be retrofitted to existing machines from any manufacturer. The sensors and encoders supplied acquire all controller input variables. The controller then opens the glue application guns in a very short time sequence on the basis of the input signals. This results in a constant glue pattern in series production. The controller and the machine can exchange further information electronically in both directions.

Hotmelt glue
In addition to the new melters, the Xmelt® family of carefully matched systems consists of temperature-controlled hoses and a wide range of application guns with mounting brackets and nozzles to suit all bindery requirements. The inbuilt intelligence makes it possible to optimise the necessary system settings automatically. The gun selection parameters include fine dot application, line application, coating , multi-head applicators and Spiramelt fine swirl application. Thanks to its modular structure the system continually adapts itself to your needs.

Quality assurance
Baumer hhs quality assurance components are optimally matched to the needs of the market. Regardless of whether it be glue control, code reading or the ejection of defective products. The components fulfil all requirements for practical operation. The QA systems combine gluing, glue monitoring and code reading in one system with central interface touch screen. These systems are equipped with a two-stage error warning system: The first stage is a visual alarm for defective products, with additional ejection or marking at the end of the station, depending on requirements. The second stage is a feeder stop activated if a preset amount of consecutive errors occur.

The non-contact System allows production without slowing the host machine with excessive downtime for adjusting and cleaning. For the majority of applications, system packages have been designed for the various machine types. Special configurations can be put together from our modular components. When needed with Code reading, glue monitoring and cameras.
